Historic Breakthrough in China’s Commercial Aerospace: Complete Success of CZ-10B First-Stage Marine Net Recovery

On July 10, 2026, China’s commercial aerospace sector achieved a historic milestone. The Long March 10B (CZ-10B) carrier rocket lifted off from the Hainan Commercial Space Launch Site. Its first stage executed vertical return and was successfully retrieved on an offshore recovery platform. This mission marks China’s first controlled recovery of a carrier rocket’s first stage, as well as the world’s first rocket recovery via a marine net capture system. It represents a landmark technological leap for China in reusable launch vehicle technology.

Last December, another major achievement was registered at the Jiuquan Satellite Launch Center. The Di’er-5 space test vehicle, equipped with rigid solar arrays developed by Beijing Xingyuan Space, was sent into its pre-designated orbit aboard the Kuaizhou-11 solid launch vehicle. The solar arrays maintained stable power supply with consistent telemetry signals throughout the orbital phase, delivering phased success for on-orbit technology verification.

 

The aerospace-grade AM0 solar simulator (Model ASS41-0101) manufactured by Aijiang Technology served as the core testing equipment for solar array performance validation. Delivering aerospace-grade measurement precision, the simulator formed a robust technical testing barrier and acted as an unsung technical backbone advancing its partners’ space exploration missions.

These landmark aerospace feats rely heavily on domestically developed core testing equipment. Wuhan Aijiang Technology Co., Ltd. independently developed an extra-large-area AM0 transient solar simulator tailored for performance testing of solar cell assemblies onboard aerospace equipment. This equipment has been deployed in national key programs including space station solar panels and deep-space exploration satellites. It has broken overseas technological monopolies and filled the domestic technical gap in aerospace solar cell inspection systems.

From performance screening of gallium arsenide solar cells to full power calibration of complete solar wing assemblies, Aijiang Technology delivers aerospace-grade testing capabilities to underpin the independent and controllable development of China’s commercial aerospace industry.
