The DPQ210-F type solar cell PL/EL integrated tester is a defect detection device for gallium arsenide solar cells. It integrates both EL and PL detection functions, enabling EL and PL tests through software operation.
The PL (Photoluminescence) detector is widely used in materials science and the photovoltaic field for non-contact, non-destructive detection of internal defects and properties of samples. The first junction is excited by a 450nm band light source, and the second junction by an 808nm band light source. By measuring the fluorescence signals generated by the sample under different excitation lights, the PL detector can reveal various defects related to material quality and performance.
Types of defects detectable by PL: Crystal material defects, impurities, cracks, etc.
The basic principle of the EL (Electroluminescence) detector is to apply voltage to the photovoltaic cell in a dark environment to make it emit light, and then capture the infrared light image emitted by the cell through a dedicated camera. It can detect various material defects related to internal resistance, leakage current, short circuit, and open circuit.
Types of defects detectable by EL: Grid breakage, dark cells, high current, low shunt resistance, leakage, etc.
